Scenario

John Smith was driving down King Street on Saturday 14th August 2004. Whilst he waited at red traffic lights, Mr Keith Jones driving a white transit van crashed into him forcing him onto the pavement and into a small brick wall.

John was injured quite badly, suffering torn muscles in his shoulder, and pains in his neck.

John has heard about Jim and Jane from a friend, so he immediately rang the freephone number for advice. Jane at Jim and Jane took all Johns details and passed all this info on to a solicitor who accepted his claim that very same day.

Johns solicitor wrote to Mr Jones solicitor (third party) explaining what had happened to John and that it wasn't his fault (non fault). Mr Jones solicitor has three months to investigate what happened and then has to either accept or deny blame (liability). Johns solicitor sent John for a medical whilst he was waiting to hear back from Mr Jones solicitor, it took a couple of weeks for the appointment to come through.

John's medical report came back, (this took about 4 weeks) and it confirmed that John had suffered torn shoulder muscles affecting his arm and hand movements. John had also suffered a whiplash type injury. The doctor confirmed that John should be back to normal in about 18months (prognosis). The doctor also confirmed that John could benefit from an initial 10 courses of physiotherapy, which Johns solicitor arranged for him to start the very next week!........ continued >>
