All of the examples above illustrate potential hazards that commonly cause injury within the workplace. Your employer has a duty to keep the workplace safe for employees and visitors to that establishment.
As with shops, slippery floors or obstructions on the floor can cause accidents. The employer may be liable for the fault of another employee in creating a hazard or failing to clear it up.
Examples of liability can include:
- Loud Noise causing deafness
- Inadequate safety procedures and lack of safety equipment
- Dangerous flooring and slippery surfaces
